The Old School Jam at Saints and Scholars
The Old School Jam is recurring monthly event on the 2nd Thursday at Saints and Scholars Pub at 909 Spring Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC. Maria Kinney Blanchard hosts with her backing band, The Old School Jam Band, Federico Izzia, Mark Ritchie, Eric Lamb, Jeff Cunningham, Jerry Morrone, & Jeff Jones. Since November 2023, this has been the most exciting and best attended Jam in the Triangle!! The success has prompted a 2nd Jam, The New School Jam hosted by Josh Dulcich every thh Thursday.

Based out of Raleigh/Durham, the 5 members of Electric Carnival have decades of experience in rock performance. They feature:
- BOB STEELE - a high-energy front man who adds a blues harp to his vocal talent
- DAVE DUMERS - an incredibly versitile guitarist who can cover the most challenging artists
- JOHN BARKER - an extraordinary keyboarist who is the band's "swiss army knife" adding piano, organ, synth, horn simulation and samples, as well as rhythm guitar
- JEFF NEWBROUGH - fire on drums, and JEFF CUNNINGHAM - boss of the bass, form an elite rhythm section and lay down a rock solid foundation and a hard-driving beat

In 1999, Wanda Thompson started Super Karaoke and DJ at Manchester's, now Piper's Tavern in Raleigh, NC. She added weddings, parties, and then in 2012, she started Skintight with Frank Snow, Graham Drewes, and Mike Haywood. She is well known as one of the hardest working women in the Triangle music scene. Book a party, come to one the Karaoke events, catch an amazing night of fun and dancing with Skintight!
